Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist broker with all short term related administration – amendments, queries, and new business on Tial and other relevant online systems
  • Handling of incoming calls, enquiries and service requests by clients or broker
  • Assist with obtaining quotes and compiling comparisons thereof
  • Confirmation to clients, Insurers and Banks
  • General administration
  • Preparation of files
  • Constant internal/insurance company products training, Online Academy, Shadowmatch, Product specific training
  • Grade 12
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the administration/policy management of short term insurance: Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, Agri Insurance, C.A.R, Marine etc
  • Insurance literate, knowledge of basic risks and rates
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office and Outlook)
  • Telephone skills
  • Fluently bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
  • RE 5 Exam successfully completed
  • Experience in Tial, Santam and Old Mutual Insure online systems will be beneficial
  • Short term insurance credits will be beneficial
  • Strong admin abilities
  • Good time management skills
  • Presentable and neat appearance

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure capturing of detailed, accurate information
  • Ensure correct information is obtained from the customer and submitting the claim to the insurers
  • Ensure claims are finalised within set parameters (turnaround time, terms and conditions applied accurately)
  • Ensure regular feedback to customers and other stakeholders, as determined by the company and/ or customer requirements
  • Building and maintaining relationships, and liaising with, key stakeholders to meet job objectives
  • Take accountability for the resolution of customer complaints, with a view to customer retention
  • Be innovative and use judgement to solve unique or unusual customer situations outside set parameters, with a view to customer retention.
  • Deliver service the Stepp way through personal effort and through others.
  • Deliver on Treating Customers Fairly principles in alignment with regulatory requirements Process and underwrite new business quotes for the intermediaries
  • Load new policies on the system
  • Do amendments to existing policies on the system

Position Requirements:
  • Matric certificate
  • Bilingual (English & Afrikaans)
  • 5 years underwriting & claims experience – sound knowledge of underwriting, claim processes, policy wordings, pricing and systems
  • Computer literacy – Microsoft Office & must be able to do system processing
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Analytical skills
